Prominent scientists address the respective topics in invited lectures, followed by selected presentations as participant lectures. Every particpant contributes to the workshop with an oral presentation or a poster. There are no attendees without any contribution. Special consideration is given to young scientists. Significant time is given for discussions.

In order to enable participation of young researchers a fellowship covering full board accommodation will be made available for all contributions, expecting to be present during the entire workshop. Only the travel expenses are to be paid by the participants themselves.

Two participants will share a double room. It is possible to reserve a single room as well. But in this case the attendees have to pay the rate oneself.


8^th Late Summer Workshop 2019:

The coming 8^th Late Summer Workshop will discuss the state of research and knowledge on "Chemical and biological transformation processes and tools for their investigation". It will feature invited lectures of outstanding scientists in this field. Young scientists focused on microplastics research should feel concerned.

Contribution of Papers and Participation:

Contributions from the scientific community to the topics of the workshop are welcome. Contributions will be possible either in oral form (20 min) or as posters to be discussed in special sessions.

Selection of contributed papers will be made by the scientific committee on the basis of the submitted abstracts: Decision criteria will be the scientific quality and relationship to the theme of the conference.

Non-members who become member of the Water Chemistry Society during the 8th Late Summer Workshp will receive a refund of the difference to the fee for members. Furthermore all new members get a voucher to participate once free of charge in the Annual Conference of the Water Chemistry Society (valid for 3 years). Prerequisite for the membership in the Water Chemistry Society is the membership in the GDCh.

Accommodation:

Room reservation will be made at Hotel Seehof.

It is planned that always two participants share a double room. In case of insisting on a single room the attendees have to pay for the accomodation by themselves.
